"The past four years are done. It’s over", Tati Westbrook announced in an Aug. 1 YouTube video, bringing an end to the lawsuit filed by her former business partner, Clark Swanson, against her and her brands.
✨ Westbrook revealed that she and her husband, James Westbrook, are stepping down from Halo Beauty as part of the settlement. She also shared exciting news about independently relaunching her makeup brand, Tati Beauty. 💄🌟
“It was settled on the phone without lawyers,” Westbrook said, referring to the lawsuit Swanson filed on Oct. 20, 2020. The lawsuit, which named the Westbrooks, Halo Beauty, and Tati Cosmetics, accused them of fraud, negligence, and breach of fiduciary duty.

Tati Westbrook shared in her recent YouTube video. 💄✨ She also revealed exciting plans to launch a fragrance brand, which had been delayed due to the litigation.
“I had been knee-deep in it with a trademarked name before the legal issues got in the way.”
Westbrook joyfully announced that the settlement allows her to use her name for new brands without any legal restrictions. “I have my name back, and I’m free,” she declared. 🌟
For the Tati Beauty relaunch, Westbrook emphasized that there will be no outside business partners. The original launch with Seed Beauty had been a contentious point in Swanson’s lawsuit, which claimed that partnering with another company for the makeup brand breached the Westbrooks’ fiduciary duty to Halo Beauty.
“I don’t want a partner in anything that I do,” Westbrook affirmed.
